Bean Magician (“we”, “us”, or “the app”) is a coffee blend journal and recipe tool for iOS. This policy explains what information the app handles and how it is used.
The app may store locally, using iOS storage (including UserDefaults and App Group storage shared with the Widget extension):
This data stays on your device unless you share it yourself (for example through the system share sheet) or delete the app. Uninstalling the app removes local app data from that device.
Bean Magician Pro is sold as an auto-renewable subscription through Apple’s App Store. Apple processes payment and provides us with subscription status (for example, whether Pro is active). We do not store your Apple ID password or full payment information.

When you share a blend, the app may generate a link or file that includes recipe details you choose to share (bean names, ratios, flavor summary, and similar metadata). Anyone with that link can view the shared content. Optional public web pages decode recipe data from the URL itself; we do not operate a user account system for shared recipes.
If you use bean lookup while adding a bean, the app sends a search query derived from the bean name to:
en.wikipedia.org)api.duckduckgo.com)Those services receive the query and respond with public summary text. We do not add advertising identifiers to those requests. Their handling of data is governed by their own policies.
Bean Magician is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
We may update this policy from time to time. The effective date at the top will change when we do. Continued use of the app after an update means you accept the revised policy.
